The story

About Three Wiser Men and a Boy

Five years on from the first film, three grown brothers are drafted in to rescue their young nephew's school Christmas show after the director walks out, while their mother's new boyfriend, a pastor, tests their patience. Paul Campbell, Tyler Hynes and Andrew Walker lead, with Margaret Colin as their mother.

The CineClaus verdict

A Hallmark sequel about three grown brothers trying to save a primary school Christmas show while deciding to dislike their mother's new boyfriend. The jokes are gentle and the pageant disasters are the best of it.

Luke, Stephan and Taylor are easy company, and the ending settles on forgiveness and a place at the family table. Pleasant if you liked the first film, slight if you did not.

The family desk

Can the kids watch?

Not BBFC rated

Our take: fine for most children: gentle slapstick and a false alarm about a fire at the school, with nothing frightening.
