About the show
Friends followed six twenty-somethings sharing flats, a favourite coffee house and a decade of relationships in New York, and ran for ten seasons on NBC from 1994 to 2004. Nearly every season had a December episode, from a New Year's Eve pact in the first year to a Christmas stranded at work in the ninth, and they range from fully festive farce to everyday stories with a tree in the corner. In the UK the series made its name on Channel 4 and later E4, and it returns to Channel 4 and E4 in January 2027 while staying on HBO Max.
