The story

About Toy Story That Time Forgot

Two days after Christmas, Bonnie takes Trixie, Woody and Buzz to a friend's house for a playdate. The toys are pulled into a video game console, where a band of action figures believes it is a tribe of fighting dinosaurs. Trixie has always wanted to be played with as a dinosaur, and she has to talk the group out of its fanatical mythology before anyone is thrown into an air vent.

The CineClaus verdict

A short Pixar special that borrows Christmas for a date and little else.

Two days after the big day, a child's toys end up inside a games console, where a gang of action figures has built a religion around being dinosaurs. It is quick, funny and gently odd, and Trixie gets the best of it.

Do not expect a tree or any snow. Put it on once the presents have lost their shine and the children want something short and daft.

Can the kids watch?

Not BBFC rated

Our take: mild peril and a few tense moments with toys threatened by angry action figures, but it ends happily and suits most children.
