Two Doors Down Christmas specials

About the show

A BBC Scotland sitcom by Simon Carlyle and Gregor Sharp about Eric and Beth Baird, a polite retired couple in a Glasgow suburb whose quiet life is forever interrupted by neighbours who let themselves in. It began as a one-off Hogmanay episode on BBC One in 2013, returned as a series on BBC Two in 2016, ran for seven series and moved to BBC One in 2023. Its Christmas specials are a December fixture: Christmas Day chaos in 2017, a Highland lodge in 2020, parties in 2021 and a snowy coffee shop in 2022, then a 2025 return written by Gregor Sharp alone after Carlyle's death in 2023. Its audience grew from 1.3 million on BBC Two in 2016 to a 2.8 million 28-day average on BBC One.
