Death in Paradise Christmas specials

About the show

Death in Paradise is the BBC One crime drama in which a British detective inspector is posted to a sunny Caribbean island and untangles one baffling murder after another, always gathering the suspects for the reveal. Made by Red Planet Pictures and filmed on the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, it has run since 2011. Its Christmas specials began in 2021 and have become a feature-length fixture of the BBC's festive schedule, swapping snow for sunshine while keeping the Christmas parties, family visits and tinsel. Five have aired, spanning Ralf Little's last years in the lead and Don Gilet's arrival, and the BBC has commissioned two more.
