The story
Why it stays with you
A boy finds an unexpected use for the Yellow Pages when a Christmas kiss is just out of reach.
A sprig of mistletoe, a difference in height and a useful household directory: Yellow Pages builds its Christmas advert around a single visual joke.
The boy wants to kiss a taller girl, so he fetches the directory and stands on it. The product becomes the answer to his problem in a way that needs very little explanation.
First broadcast in 1992, Mistletoe belongs to the era when a thick Yellow Pages was a familiar object in the home. Yell revived the advert across paid social and streaming in 2023. The linked video is Yell's own upload of the 1992 campaign.
